Hi, my name is Tom. I grew up to love outdoor cooking thanks to my Grandfather. He taught me everything he knew about grilling and smoking. He had an old homemade cinderblock grill near the vegetable garden. I loved the juicy grilled veggies and meat that he cooked, and I wanted to be just like him. I guess he made quite an impression on me because I became a professional gardener. This gives me a chance to check out my clients’ grills and smokers, and they like to tell me all about them.
I’m a bit obsessed with everything to do with outdoor cooking. My wife, Annie is very pleased that I love to do the cooking. She likes to have a glass of wine and make the salad. We love to cook chicken, salmon, steak, and veggies on our grill, and we like to try new recipes for marinades and sauces when we can.
Barbeques are a celebration of outdoor cooking with family and friends in the warmer months. Or in the cooler months, running to and from the “barbie” creating a wonderful indoor dinner for your family.
Barbeques create memories of children laughing, smiling adults, funny aprons, sunny days, and the smell of freshly cut grass. They can also create infamous recollections of burnt sausages, ants on the table, and sudden summer showers. But we all have our less-than-perfect days, right?
The aim of HogFestival is to give you the information you need to have perfect barbeques more often than not. We’ll supply reviews on the equipment you need so you can make the right decision for you and your family, we’ll give you any new barbeque news that we’ve found, we’ll even supply some cooking ideas and funny aprons.
We hope you find HogFesitval helpful, and may all of your barbeques be warm and rain-free!
